Client stories from the chart room

Feedback from participants who completed programmes between 2022 and 2025. Names used with permission; outcomes describe learning progress, not trading profits.

The Foundation assignment on GBP/JPY forced me to label every swing before drawing a single line. I had been skipping that step for years. My journal is longer now but arguments with myself are shorter.

Marcus did not let me hide behind indicator overlays during the one-to-one review. He crossed out three of my trendlines in the first ten minutes — blunt, but exactly what I paid for.

Our desk booked the corporate half-day so junior staff would stop using different definitions of a higher high. We still disagree on entries, but at least the whiteboard vocabulary matches now.
James WhitfieldResearch manager, agricultural commodities firm
I attended remotely from Edinburgh. Video quality was fine, though I missed being able to lean over someone else's shoulder during the breakout exercises. The mailed workbook made up for some of that.

Case note: correcting structure reads before a funded evaluation

Background: A part-time trader preparing for a prop-firm evaluation had passed two attempts but failed on consistency rules. Charts showed conflicting trendlines across timeframes.

Engagement: Four-week condensed Foundation track (private cohort of one) plus two chart reviews. Focus on daily structure as anchor, four-hour lines only where they respected daily swings.

Outcome: Participant reported passing the evaluation on the next attempt. More importantly — in their words — they could articulate why a trade aligned with structure rather than hoping a pattern "looked familiar." We do not track or guarantee account outcomes; this note documents annotation improvement only.

Case note: desk standardisation workshop

Background: Six analysts covering soft commodities produced morning notes with incompatible chart markup — some used Elliott labels, others raw support/resistance with no swing definition.

Engagement: On-site half-day at their Grimsby office. Delivered annotated templates for wheat and coffee continuous contracts; team agreed on swing-point rules and break-of-structure colour coding.

Outcome: Team lead reported reduced revision cycles on shared notes within three weeks. Follow-up session booked for six months later to review adherence.
